Like other developing economies, Ghana faces acute housing shortage in the midst of rapid population growth and rising urbanization. Amandi has provided housing for government civil servants, which they are entitled to inhabit for the duration of their service to the country. Extensive discussions with the Ministry of Water Resources, Works & Housing resulted in a contract to design and build 168 housing units in Tema for the Security Services of Ghana.
New housing for the Ghana Navy has been constructed at Tema Newtown in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. After the success of the first phase, Amandi was selected to build an additional 368 new apartments for naval personnel. The navy can now benefit from improved operational readiness by having naval officers in one location, and savings will be made on rent and transportation costs.
